How do active substances have to be structured in order to target cancer cells selectively? Doctoral students in the “Magicbullet” network have spent three years conducting research into this.

Fifteen doctoral students with backgrounds in chemistry, biology, and biomedicine conducted research in the network, moving between locations in Germany, Italy, Finland and Hungary. In the new research_tv report, Professor Dr Norbert Sewald, coordinator of Magicbullet, and three doctoral students describe their approach to this basic research.

Magicbullet receives funding from the EU research programme “Horizon 2020”. Six universities, a research institute, and two companies are collaborating on this project. The network was launched in early 2015 and concludes at the end of this year.
