Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung (ZiF)
Convenors: Anna Amelina (Chemnitz), Karolina Barglowski (Luxembourg), Irina Kuznetsova (Birmingham), Encarnación Gutiérrez Rodríguez (Frankfurt a.M.)

International Workshop in context of the resident group „Postcolonial and Postsocialist Interdependencies Across Borders“.

What does it mean to produce knowledge from the margins: in post-socialist, postcolonial, or „Global East“ contexts where entire epistemologies remain systematically undervalued? This interdisciplinary workshop brings together scholars from sociology, anthropology, history, political science, geography, and gender studies to confront some of the most urgent methodological challenges of social sciences and humanities. From researching under authoritarian regimes to unsettling Eurocentric analytical categories, the workshop creates a space for honest, critical dialogue about the power relations that shape what counts as legitimate knowledge.
