This talk explores how insights from philosophy, psychology, and other disciplines can inform one another in advancing our understanding of creative thought and action, and considers what philosophy can distinctively contribute to this inquiry. Philosophy can clarify the underlying concepts, raise normative questions, and draw distinctions that guide empirical and conceptual research across fields. One such distinction is between Process Creativity, which concerns the nature of creative activity, and Product Creativity, which concerns the evaluation of creative outcomes. I argue that these are distinct phenomena that require separate forms of analysis and research.
