SUMMARY:Da ist ein Raum in mir
DESCRIPTION:Die Ausstellung Da ist ein Raum in mir von Xenia Gorzny eröffnet Einblicke in einen Zwischenraum – zwischen Jetzt und Gleich\, Tun und Ruhen\, Denken und Fühlen. Er entzieht sich jeder Festlegung und Kontinuität. Eine Tür\, durch die man kommen könnte\, gibt es nicht. Der einzige Weg dorthin führt durch die pure Absichtslosigkeit. Die Zeichnungen sind gewissermaßen der Beweis dafür\, dass die Künstlerin dort war und in ihrer Einfachheit sehr persönliche Spuren hinterlassen hat\, die fast so anmuten\, als wären sie nicht für die Augen anderer bestimmt. \nXenia Gorzny ist eine bildende Künstlerin aus Bielefeld\, die in vielen künstlerischen Disziplinen heimisch ist und sich nicht festlegen lässt. Wiedererkennbarkeit und Kontinuität spielen für sie keine Rolle. Alles\, was zählt\, ist: Welche Ausdrucksform braucht das Thema\, das nach außen drängt? Es verwundert also nicht\, wenn es sowohl in ihrer Biografie als auch in ihrem künstlerischen Schaffen keinen geradlinigen\, überschaubaren Weg gibt\, sondern ein komplexes Netzwerk aus Haupt- und Seitenwegen\, Abwegen\, Umwegen und Schleichwegen. Die Künstlerin macht es so den Betrachtenden nicht leicht\, sondern lockt sie ins Unwägbare\, Ungefähre\, wo sie ganz auf sich gestellt sind. \nDie Vernissage findet am 15. April um 18 Uhr in B02-220 statt. \nDer BITS SPACE ist üblicherweise montags bis freitags von 10-16 Uhr öffentlich zugänglich. \nBegleitend zur Ausstellung bietet Xenia Gorzny kostenfreie Mal- und Schreibworkshops an. SUMMARY:A Postsocialist Lens to Imperiality and Coloniality
DESCRIPTION:Convenors: Helma Lutz (Frankfurt)\, Anna Amelina (Chemnitz) \nThis workshop brings together interdisciplinary scholars to advance critical debates on imperiality and coloniality in the social sciences and humanities. Building on anti-colonial\, postcolonial and decolonial scholarship\, it places particular emphasis on perspectives from postsocialist societies. The workshop explores how imperial forms of power developed not only through colonial empires but also through socialist and post-socialist political orders\, and how these histories intersect across regions.
